Island is an upcoming South Korean supernatural drama series. The show will supposedly have multiple seasons. It will be helmed by Bae Jong (My Dream Class, Fabricated City). Meanwhile, Jang Yoon Mi (Luck-Key, Cheer up Mr. Lee) will serve as the screenwriter. Also, Jang Yoon Mi will make her “drama” debut as a writer. After Seo Ye Ji was removed from the drama, OCN and the production team of Island have offered the role to Lee Da Hee. The show is an OCN original. It looks like OCN really likes fantasy and supernatural dramas. OCN previously released The Uncanny Counter, which has earned the likes of millions.

On May 17, Sports Donga claimed that Lee Da Hee has earned a role in the upcoming drama. They also revealed that the producers believe that Da-Hee is the best choice to lay the role. Moreover, the actress also praised the quality of the production. Lee Da Hee’s agency, Santa Claus Entertainment announced that the actress is positively reviewing the offer that she has received. She is offered the role of Won Min Ho, who is the daughter of a rich family but, she ends up becoming a target of the goblins. The actress has previously worked in many hit dramas like Search: WWW, I Can Hear Your Voice, The Beauty Inside, Secret, Mrs. Cop, and more. She was recently seen leading the 2021 drama, L.U.C.A The Beginning opposite Kim Rae Won. Many of her fans are excited to see her in the new show. If Lee Da Hee joins the team of Island, she will work beside Kim Nam Gil. The actor has officially confirmed to be a part of the show. He will be playing the role of Pan, the male lead of the show. Also, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo is reportedly in talks to join the drama. He has been offered the role of Kang Chan Hyuk. His confirmation also awaits. Kim Nam Gil was last seen in the 2019 show, The Fiery Priest. However, he has multiple shows coming up including Island. The actor will be seen in the 2021 upcoming show Those Who Read Hearts of Evil. Moreover, he is prepping for his role in the sequel of The Fiery Priest. Based on a webtoon of the same name, Island is a fantasy exorcism drama. It will recite the story of Pan, who is in a search of a woman to end his cursed immortal life. Meanwhile, Won Mi Ho is the daughter of a rich family who has suddenly become the target of Goblins. Moreover, both Pan and Won Min Ho are joined by exorcist priest John who is under the guilt of not being unable to protect one girl.
