Youth of May is set in the May of 1980 in Gwangju. It shows the joys and struggles of the youth of that time and place. The main characters Hee Tae and Myung Hee have quite an unexpected meeting. Myung Hee had gone on a blind date in place of her friend on her friends’ request. And, the blind date was with Hee Tae. Both of these characters grow fond of each other in due time. But things get complicated for everyone when Myung Hee’s friend’s father and Hee Tae had signed a contract. The deal was if their children would marry then they would support each others’ business. Myung Hee’s friend Soo Ryeon is of course against the proposal but here things are out of her hands. Myung Hee and Hee Tae both also get tangled in the situation.
Youth of May Episode 5 Preview
The preview might have worried many people. Hee Tae had been asking Soo Ryeon’s hand in marriage. Now this leaves us to think that Hee Tae was worried that things would get out of hand. And, now he tries to ignore Myung Hee. He could this out of worry that his father would do something to her o because he doesn’t want to tell her that he asked for Soo Ryeon’s hand in marriage. All of this is pretty sad as the couple looked very cute and were having a fun time in the fourth episode. Moreover, in the preview, we could see Hee Tae’s father telling Hee Tae that he can date Myung Hee even after his marriage. Hee Tae had replied by asking him,” Like how you dated my mother?”. The drama has already revealed that Kee Tae’s mother had died but hasn’t revealed the reason for her death. Furthermore, we could see in the preview that Myung Hee was getting jealous. She had naturally found out about their marriage and couldn’t help but get angered when she saw Hee Tae and Soo Ryeon together. Out of all that, it feels like Soo Chan is taking his chance. Viewers know that Soo Chan likes Myung Hee and has always tried to impress her. So far, all of the characters are threatened by Hee Tae’s father. Hee Tae’s father had shown how dangerous he could be when he had talked to Soo Ryeon. He tortures communists in an unknown place and is quite scary. And if Hee Tae refuses to marry Soo Ryeon god knows what he might do.
Youth of May Episode 5 Release Date
As already mentioned the drama has released four episodes in the past two weeks since its release. It had started to air on May 3 and will continue to air till June 8. Youth of May Episode 5 will be released on Monday, May 17 and the sixth episode will be released on the following day Tuesday, May 18. The drama will be available on KBS and on Rakuten Viki. Each of its episodes is thrilling and grows the curiosity of the viewers. Fans are dying to know whose skeleton they had seen at the beginning of the first episode of Youth of May.
